Symposium #safeOnDuty – #safeInSiegen

Protection against violence and the confidence to act are essential foundations for daily work in the service of others.

Guided by the NRW initiative #sicherimDienst launched by the Ministry of the Interior, the Campus Security Department at the University of Siegen cordially invites you to the

  1. Regional Symposium #sicherimDienst –#sicherinSiegen

The event is specifically aimed at managers, violence prevention and safety officers, as well as interested employees from educational institutions, government agencies, hospitals, and the public sector in the Siegen region—and beyond.

Our shared goal is a dynamic, effective exchange of expertise that sustainably strengthens people’s subjective sense of safety in our region.

After all, when our employees feel safe, they create safe spaces for the people who visit them every day—whether at a school, job center, or emergency room.

Why You Should Attend

Violence against employees takes many forms—ranging from verbal hostility to physical assaults. The NRW Initiative #sicherimDienst clearly demonstrates that effective protection against violence can only be achieved collectively, through the interplay of structural, organizational, and personnel measures.

Furthermore, it is evident that through cross-institutional cooperation and networks, we expand and strengthen our teams’ resources and, thereby, the effectiveness of our measures.

Our symposium brings together stakeholders from the region to highlight effective real-world examples, learn from one another, and establish a robust safety network in Siegen—shared strategies for shared challenges.
