The Staff Committee for the Academic and other Mid-level Employees at the University of Siegen (Personalrat für wissenschaftliches und künstlerisches Personal, WPR) is your point of contact for questions and concerns relating to your employment at the University of Siegen.

Dear colleagues, dear interested parties,

Welcome to the Academic Staff Committee (WPR).

We represent the interests of academic and artistic staff at the University of Siegen in accordance with the NRW State Staff Representation Act:

  • Academic employees and civil servants

  • Academic (senior) councilors and (senior) study councilors in the university service

  • Teaching staff for special tasks (Lehrkraft für besondere Aufgaben - LfbA), seconded teaching staff, lecturers and subject teachers

  • Research assistants with a Master's degree (Wissenschaftliche Hilfskräfte - WHK) and Bachelor's degree (Wissenschaftliche Hilfskräfte Bachelor-Abschluss - WHB)

We support you with issues such as employment contracts, work, qualifications and work-life balance.

The WPR meets weekly on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. to discuss personnel matters such as recruitment, continued employment or level assignments. We also deal with issues relating to the working environment at the university.

All members of the Staff Committee are bound by legal duty of confidentiality under the law. On request, we will represent your interests in dealings with the university (Please note: Our advice does not replace legal advice!).
