Offene Uni - Ready to Study 2026

The university festival "Offene Uni" and the information fair for prospective students "Ready to Study" at the Campus Unteres Schloss in Siegen will take place this year on Saturday, June 13, 2026.
The University Library is once again participating with various program items and cordially invites you to attend:
 

Open University

• Escape game "The secret in the library":
  Solve puzzles and discover the library in the process.
  Start: Branch Library US, lending desk
  Duration: approx. 30 minutes, possible at any time between 10:00 and 16:00.
• From prison to library:
  Guided tour of the Branch Library US at 12:00 and 14:00.
  The guided tour focuses on the special character of the US Branch Library and illustrates the eventful history of the building from princely residence to prison to modern place of learning and work.
  Duration: approx. 60 minutes
  Registration: Information pavilion on the Schlossplatz, max. 20 participants
• From prison to library - Power Point presentation:
  Impressions of the conversion of the prison into the Branch Library US of Siegen University Library.
  Location: Training room on level 1
• Academic writing during studies with ZefaS
  The Center for Academic Writing (ZefaS) presents its support services for students and pupils and invites all interested parties to discuss key topics (e.g. the use of AI in the writing process).
• Publish and make it findable - 25 years ofuniversi - Universitätsverlag Siegen
  Under the motto "Publizieren mit der UB",universi, the university publishing house Siegen, will present its services and a selection of its publishing program.

Ready to study - Bachelor

• Fit with the library: How the library supports you in your studies
  Lecture/presentation in the Lecture Hall Center on the Campus Unteres Schloss, Room US-C 101, 11:00 - 11:45 a.m.
