Addiction counseling
According to scientific findings, addiction is a disease that occurs in all professional and social areas. Addiction is not just misbehavior, weakness against oneself or even ill will, but a disease that can be fatal if left untreated, and which accompanies sufferers throughout their lives.
However, if the right things are done in good time, those affected learn to live with their illness in the long term, i.e. to overcome its effects.
The University of Siegen has trained employees as contact persons for addiction risks in the workplace. They are available to provide advice and support and are obliged to maintain confidentiality.
