The Student Board represents all students within the ATHENA network and is committed to student involvement as an integral part of the European University. At the same time, it offers students the opportunity to broaden their perspectives in ATHENA's partner cities by promoting best practices and strengthening cooperation between different departments.

Our goal as a Student Board is to ensure a strong student presence in key decision-making processes, including conferences and trainings that promote students' academic development. Through active participation in action group meetings, we gain first-hand experience in the areas of governance and documentation while upholding ATHENA's vision of enhancing students' academic careers. All of this is supported by effective communication with academic coordinators and mentors, which helps to consolidate student leadership.

Student Board members commit themselves to

• Participate in monthly meetings,
• communicate regularly with the local coordinators at their university,
• pass on information about student-centered decisions made by the Student Board at their own university,
• mobilize local students to participate in the Student Board,
• participate in action groups.

Members are also encouraged to help promote solutions and activities, e.g:

• Raise awareness of ATHENA (e.g. through Info Days, recruitment/ outreach),
• organize student-centered activities (e.g. hackathons, workshops),
• publicize ATHENA via its own social media channels,
• collaborate with stakeholders (e.g. NGOs, municipalities, alumni).
