Language Café
“A different language is a different vision of life,” said Italian director Federico Fellini, highlighting the whole new world that suddenly opens up when you communicate with people in their native language. These valuable encounters can reveal cultural similarities and differences, as well as different perspectives on life.
Since the summer semester of 2018, the Language Café has provided an opportunity to strike up conversations with native speakers from various countries.
At the Language Café, we not only play games together but also have conversations about personal topics, culture, or regional studies, with the Language Café team facilitating and providing support.
All languages are welcome. We always have language partners for German as a foreign language (DaF), English, and Spanish. For other languages, it’s best to come with your tandem partner. If you register early, we may also be able to find a language partner for your desired language.
Registration:
If you’re interested in the Language Café, please register via our Moodle course. There, you’ll also be informed of any changes to the room or schedule. If you have any questions, you can contact us at any time by email at service@spz.uni-siegen.de.
