Marion Goedelt was born in Hamburg, where she studied illustration at the University of Applied Sciences. Since then, she has been working as a freelance illustrator for various publishers of children’s and school books. In the picture book *Selma and Anton* (Ariella Verlag, 2021), she explores the topic of antisemitism through her illustrations.

*The Good News* (Ariella Verlag, 2025) was also illustrated by her and tells stories about Jesus for children, without any anti-Semitic undertones. Her books have been translated into many languages, and her work has been exhibited at venues such as the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. She lives with her family in Berlin.
