Together through the doctorate: Review of the 4th doctoral colloquium

On April 17, 2026, seven doctoral students and other members of the Chair of Digital Public Health came together for the 4th doctoral colloquium of the Chair of Digital Public Health in the Arthur Woll House at the University of Siegen. The biannual colloquium serves as a forum for exchanging ideas on doctoral projects, current research and questions relating to the doctoral process.

Starting with a welcome and introduction round for the newly started doctoral students, the current doctoral status, next milestones, challenges and open questions were discussed. One doctoral candidate then presented her doctoral project in more detail, focusing on an internet portal for the prevention of violence in nursing, and collected feedback on her intervention and the next planned steps in the project. For doctoral candidates in the final phase of their doctorate, there was an FAQ on the synopsis and defense. The meeting was rounded off by an open discussion forum with space for exchange and further questions.
