Developments in catalysis research

The EVT working group presents itself in Weimar

The 59th Annual Meeting of German Catalysts, organized by the German Catalysis Society (GeCatS) from 18 to 20 March in Weimar, once again provided an established forum for professional exchange on current issues in catalysis research. The program included contributions from molecular and heterogeneous catalysis as well as application-oriented developments and reflected the thematic breadth and interdisciplinary relevance of the field.

As part of the conference, we presented our current research results and discussed them with an expert audience. The feedback provided clues for the classification of our results and for the future direction of our work. In particular, the exchange with researchers from related fields proved to be helpful in identifying alternative methodological approaches and transferable concepts.

In addition to maintaining existing contacts, new professional contacts were established. Specific points for future collaborations and projects were discussed in several meetings. The impetus gained from these discussions will contribute to the further development of our research and address specific issues that we dealt with prior to the conference.

Even independently of our own contributions, the scientific program provided an overview of current developments and challenges in the field of catalysis and inspired us to develop new approaches.
