In March 2026, the Department of Historical Theology at the University of Siegen met again with the Institute of Church History, Department of Ancient Church History, at the University of Bonn to continue their long-standing collaboration.

Advanced seminar in historical theology with Bonn

The transdisciplinary and transuniversity advanced seminar once again offered a concentrated working atmosphere for joint discussions. Sebastian Lüke (Bonn) presented his research findings on "Studies on the Evaluation of Physical Labor in Ancient Eastern Monasticism". In addition, Sebastian Hanstein (Siegen) presented"Caelibatus doctrina. Lively debate on celibacy in the late 4th century", Sebastian Hanstein (Siegen) presented his findings on the writing De castitate from the Corpus Caspari for discussion as part of a workshop report.
