Alumni in conversation: Dr. Nadine Uebe-Emden
As a lateral entrant to the boardroom
Dr. Nadine Uebe-Emden (44) has literally reached the top. From her office on the top floor of the Sparkasse building in Siegen city center, she has a fantastic view of the city and the Unteres Schloss campus. "I was too early with my studies, I would have liked to have had lectures," she says with a laugh. The Westerwald native studied business administration at the University of Siegen from 1999 to 2003, completed her doctorate and was a research assistant and finally Managing Director at the University of Siegen's Institute for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises until 2010. Her career path then led her to Sparkasse Siegen. A career change that took her all the way to the Management Board. Last year, she took over the position of Chairwoman of the Management Board.
