You can apply directly online via our job portal. So that you already know exactly what to expect, we would like to inform you about the application and selection process. We will explain all the steps from the application to the possible conclusion of a training contract.

Registering on the University of Siegen job portal

Please first register on our job portal to create a profile. You will need your e-mail address for this. In the input mask you can assign a password and enter your first and last name. Please open the privacy policy and accept it. Once you have successfully registered, you can upload your CV, letter of motivation and other documents under My documents. Please fill in your personal details in the Profile information tab. With your profile, you can easily apply for several vacancies on our job portal.

Submit your application via your profile

As soon as you are logged in to your profile, you can click on Apply now directly in the relevant job advertisement and check your uploaded documents and data again and correct them if necessary. By clicking on Apply, your application will be sent to us automatically and you will receive a confirmation of receipt to the email address you have provided.

If your application is not yet complete, you can also save it temporarily and continue working on it at a later date.

Selection procedure

We will make a pre-selection from the applications received. We then invite all qualified applicants to take an online test by e-mail. Your first name, surname and email address will be forwarded to the geva institute commissioned by us for this purpose.
If you pass the online test, we will invite you to an interview. In this interview, we want to get to know you and you will also get to know future colleagues.

Acceptance and recruitment

You will be informed immediately by your future trainer if we would like to offer you a training position. You will receive a conditional acceptance, as further steps are still necessary, which we will take care of on the part of the university (e.g. approval from the staff council).

We will then send you the vocational training contract and look forward to welcoming you to our university. If you are still a minor, your legal guardian will also sign the contract.
