Guest Lecture by Prof. Ramesh Rayudu of Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand)
International Expert from New Zealand Gives Guest Lecture at the University of Siegen
On July 22, the University of Siegen will welcome a renowned international guest: Prof. Ramesh Rayudu from Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand) will present current developments in the field of energy supply and power electronics as part of a guest lecture.
Titled “Do We Need to Change the Way We Transmit Electricity in Our Countries? A Look at How Power Electronics Is Taking Over Our Infrastructure,” the lecture addresses a central question of the energy transition. The focus is on the growing importance of power electronics for modern power grids and the question of how existing transmission and distribution structures must adapt to the requirements of a sustainable energy supply.
The event will take place on July 22 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Room H-B 4419/20 and is open to students, researchers, and anyone else interested. Prof. Rayudu’s visit offers an opportunity to gain insights into international research approaches and experiences from New Zealand—a country that faces similar challenges to many European nations when it comes to integrating renewable energy and modernizing its energy infrastructure.
The guest lecture promises exciting insights into the future of the electric power supply and offers the chance to learn about an internationally recognized expert’s perspective on the role of power electronics in the global transformation of energy systems.
All interested parties are cordially invited to attend the event.
