New employees at the IAS Chair

Our new employees

Hendrik Vater and Marvin Meyer joined the IAS Chair as research assistants on January 1. Both have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Cognitive Systems from the University of Paderborn and are moving from the LEA Chair there to the University of Siegen.

Research focus

With their research, they are particularly strengthening the Chair's work in the field of model-based and data-driven control methods. Hendrik Vater's research focuses on the topic of system excitation. Marvin Meyer is conducting research in the field of Differentiable Predictive Control (DPC) with a focus on the current control of permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSM). From the beginning of the coming semester, they will also support the chair in teaching.
