Road closure "Am Eichenhang": Diversions for motorists and bus routes

Anyone traveling to the University of Siegen in the coming days will have to plan a detour: a section of the "Am Eichenhang" road is fully closed, and a bus route is also affected.

The road "Am Eichenhang" is closed between the junction of B62/ HTS and Hochschulstraße.

In the street Am Eichenhang between the junction of B62/ HTS and Hochschulstraße, a road surface renovation will be carried out under full closure from Thursday, September 18 to Monday, September 29, 2025. The measure is being implemented by the University City of Siegen.

This means for drivers:

  • If you are coming from Siegen, you should approach Haardter Berg via Glückaufstraße.

  • If you are coming from Netphen, it is best to use Kreuztaler Straße and Haardter-Berg-Straße via Dreis-Tiefenbach.

Bus services are also restricted: From September 18 to October 5, 2025, the R16 line will run via HTS and will not be able to serve the Weidenau Andreas-Schlüter-Straße, Wilhelm-von-Humboldt-Platz, Hölderlinstraße, Grube Neue Haardt and Brückenstraße stops.
