Successful Final EmbeddedAI Project Meeting
Final Project Meeting Recap
The EmbeddedAI project successfully concluded with its Final Project Meeting held from 26 to 30 January, 2026 at the University of Abuja (UoA). The meeting was conducted in a hybrid format, enabling broad participation from both Nigerian and European partners.
Representatives from the Nigerian university partners — University of Abuja (UoA), University of Port Harcourt (UPH), Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOU) — were joined by colleagues from the European partner institutions University of Siegen (USI), Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and University of Klagenfurt (AAU).
Serving as the project’s concluding milestone, the meeting provided a platform for partners to present and review the project’s final outcomes, including key achievements, risk status, open points, and dissemination activities, as well as next steps for sustainability beyond the project timeline.
In addition to presentations and project wrap-up discussions, the meeting included hands-on technical hardware training, reinforcing practical competencies and supporting partners in delivering the programme with strong lab-oriented components.
The Final Project Meeting reflected the strong collaboration across institutions and underscored the project’s lasting contribution to advanced education and technical skills development in embedded systems.
A Major Milestone: EmbeddedAI Master’s Programme Launched Across All Five Nigerian Universities
A central highlight of the meeting was the confirmation that all five Nigerian partner universities have successfully launched the EmbeddedAI Erasmus+ Master’s programme, with students already admitted. This marks a major step toward strengthening embedded systems education and capacity building, ensuring that the project’s impact continues through a sustainable academic pathway.
