SusChemSys Meeting
SusChemSys
SusChemSys is an interdisciplinary network between chemistry and process engineering for doctoral students from various universities and non-university research institutions in NRW. The program enables joint meetings, excursions to industrial partners and soft-skill workshops.
The last network meeting took place on November 6, 2025 at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion in Mülheim an der Ruhr.
In addition to presentations
- about handling of uncertainties in the design of chemical processes,
- development of bio-based hot melt adhesives,
- investigation of the surface chemistry of N-heterocyclic carbenes,
- molecular electrocatalytic reductive coupling of CO₂ with alkynes,
- as well as practical experimental design with machine learning,
Jun. Prof. Dr. Anna Katharina Beine gave with her contribution:
Heteropolyacids as catalysts for the conversion of biomass - immobilization, characterization, application
an insight into the research work of the Chair of Energy Process Engineering at the University of Siegen.
