The university announces young talent awards 2026
The University of Siegen is once again awarding study prizes for outstanding academic work by young researchers this year. The awards are partly presented in cooperation with regional partners and recognize excellent Bachelor's, Master's and doctoral theses from the academic year 2025/2026 (1.4.2025-31.3.2026).
A total of six prizes are available:
- Prize of the district of Altenkirchen (endowed with €2,000)
- Study prize from the Siegen Chamber of Industry and Commerce (endowed with € 2,500 for a dissertation and € 1,500 for a diploma, master's or bachelor's thesis)
- Historian Prize of the Dirlmeier Foundation (endowed with € 1,000)
- Dirlmeier Foundation Sponsorship Award (endowed with € 1,000)
- Prize of the University of Siegen for young international academics (endowed with € 1,000)
- DAAD Prize (focus on social commitment) (endowed with € 1,000)
Nominations of outstanding graduates as well as self-applications are expressly encouraged. Applications are only possible in electronic form and must be submitted by June 1, 2026.
