University of Siegen invites you to the Security Days 2025

The Safety Days 2025 offer all employees of the University of Siegen the opportunity to receive practical training, deepen their specialist knowledge and pick up useful tips on occupational health and safety. Under the motto "Safety compact in theory and practice", participants can expect a varied program of workshops, lectures and demonstrations on 15 and 16 October.

Day 1: Fire protection in theory and practice

The first day of the event (Wednesday, October 15, 2025) is dedicated to fire protection. In a combined theoretical and practical training course, participants can be trained as fire safety assistants. The training is offered by the Schmidt company in cooperation with the Occupational Health and Safety department and concludes with a certificate.

Day 2: Short presentations on important safety topics

On Thursday, October 16, 2025, a varied short lecture program is on the agenda. Experts will convey key aspects of occupational health and safety in compact units:

• Your protection in the event of exposure-related illness - the ZED database
• Hand and skin protection - important and correct!
• Respiratory protection - theory and practice quickly explained by a professional! (with the Siegen fire department)
• AGUM - is not chewing gum. It provides you with quick help in the jungle of regulations!
• Disposal and chemical transportation - how it should be! (Demonstration on the Lindenschmidt chemicals vehicle)

Refresh knowledge - strengthen safety

The safety days offer employees an ideal opportunity to find out more, refresh their knowledge and receive practical tips for more safety in everyday working life. The mix of theory, practice and exchange makes the event particularly valuable for anyone who wants to contribute to a safe and healthy working environment.
