VDE Certificate of Honor for Dr. Michael Wahl
Dr. Michael Wahl has received the VDE Certificate of Honor for his many years of service to the Professional Association for Microelectronics, Microsystems, and Precision Engineering (GMM). The award recognizes his outstanding volunteer work as well as his contribution to fostering connections between academia and industry in the field of electronics engineering.
Particular emphasis was placed on Dr. Wahl’s role as the initiator of the “Automotive meets Electronics & Control” (AMEC) conference. He launched the event in 2010 and led it for a period of 14 years through 2024.
The VDE Certificate of Honor is awarded to deserving members of the GMM, volunteers, and other individuals who have rendered outstanding service to the professional society. This includes, for example, long-term service on advisory boards or committees, or the successful development of technical initiatives.
The GMM is a joint professional society of the VDE and VDI and is committed to promoting microelectronics, microsystems technology, and precision engineering in research, development, and industrial applications.
