Louisa Sauter holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration and an M.Sc. in Human–Computer Interaction from the University of Siegen. During her studies, she gained practical experience in a medium-sized company in South Westphalia, where she worked in the staff unit for digital transformation from 2020 onwards. In this role, she
contributed to research- and practice-oriented projects on technology-supported knowledge management as well as internal digitalisation initiatives, focusing on the introduction and use of digital systems in organisational work contexts.
Since 2023, Louisa Sauter has been a Research Associate at the Chair of Human-Centred Information Systems (formerly the Chair of Cyber-Physical Systems) at the University of Siegen. In this role, she is involved in the transfer project EDIH South Westphalia as well as the research project KoWima.
Her research focuses on the role of artificial intelligence in organisational knowledge management. In particular, she investigates human–AI collaboration and examines how AI-based systems influence work practices, individual work organisation, and collaborative processes in organisations. A further focus of her research is the identification of socio-technical design requirements for AI-based knowledge systems and the development of approaches to implement these systems in ways that effectively support employees in their everyday knowledge work.
