Marisa Schmidt, M.Sc.

Marisa Schmidt studied computer visualistics at the University of Koblenz. During her master’s program, she focused on (intelligent) autonomous systems and artificial intelligence, particularly large language models. As part of her master’s thesis, she evaluated a T5-based system for the automatic reconstruction of coordination ellipses in German using various corpus-based datasets. She had previously developed this system during a research internship.

From September 2022 to July 2026, she worked first as a working student and later as a software engineer at pmdtechnologies ag in Siegen. There, she contributed to the development of embedded and system software for sensor systems in both the industrial and consumer sectors and developed a viewer application for visualizing various sensor data.

Since August 2026, Marisa has been a research assistant at the Chair of Human-Centered Information Systems at the University of Siegen. There, she is involved in the LEARN IT project.
