Robert Fischbach M.Sc.

Robert Fischbach serves as Operations Manager of EDIH South Westphalia, where he oversees the consortium’s strategic and operational management. As a Research Associate, his work focuses on the socio-technical aspects of digital technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and Additive Manufacturing, with a particular emphasis on digital cross-border collaboration.

A key outcome of his research is the initiation of the “EDIHub”, a digital platform designed to strengthen networking between European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) and the broader European AI ecosystem. In addition, he provides expertise on the practical implications of the EU AI Act for regional stakeholders.

Robert Fischbach studied Social Sciences at the University of Siegen, with a supplementary focus on Europe in Global Change (B.A., 2020). In the same year, he began his Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction. He was a scholarship holder of the Foundation of German Business (Stiftung der Deutschen Wirtschaft) and was included in the Dean’s List for the winter semester 2021/22 in the Human-Computer Interaction program.
