Further information
Eligible nominees and possible nominees
The nomination must be submitted by at least 5 participants in the nominated event.
In principle, all lecturers are eligible for nomination. Teachers can be nominated with regard to a specific course. In the case of co-teaching, the application can also refer to several lecturers. Teachers can be awarded a maximum of one teaching prize per calendar year.
Nomination deadlines
Nominations can always be submitted for courses in the current semester. The following deadlines apply for submitting a nomination:
- Courses in the summer semester: July 31
- Courses in the winter semester: February 28
The QVM Commission of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities decides annually at the beginning of March on the awarding of the teaching prizes for the previous winter and summer semester.
Endowment
For academic staff (WiMi, LfbA, A(O)R, (O)StR (also for secondments)), the prize is endowed with €500 (for co-teaching, the money is distributed among the lecturers if nominated accordingly). The money is transferred to the cost center of the respective professorship or the respective PSP element and can be used for university matters.
Award ceremony and presentation
The teaching prizes are awarded annually. The award winners present the concept of the award-winning course in the Faculty Salon.
