Recognize achievements & change subject
Are you changing university, degree program or spending a semester abroad? No problem - credits already earned can be recognized if they are equivalent.
The following applies:
-
Equivalence means: the content, scope and requirements of your previous achievements essentially correspond to the subject you are studying at the University of Siegen.
-
There is no rigid point-by-point comparison, but rather an overall assessment.
-
Recognition is granted upon application for your degree program.
Everything at a glance
Students enrolled in the Bachelor's degree program in Digital Biomedical and Health Sciences can change their focus under certain conditions.
You can register independently in unisono under My studies/ transfer.
You can apply for placement certificates for the Biomedical Technology specialization (restricted admission) at the Health Sciences & Biomedicine Examination Office. Please also note the special regulations for restricted admission majors.
As soon as the change of major is visible in unisono, please inform the Examinations Office. Your examination account will then be checked for any necessary adjustments.
Recognition of study and examination achievements from a semester abroad, another degree program or from another university or in a professional context is possible upon application and will be checked for equivalence by the respective subject representatives. Please submit your documents to the Examinations Office.
Coursework and examinations completed in other degree programs and/or at other universities can be recognized for the chosen degree program upon application, provided equivalence is given. Students are obliged to provide the necessary documents. Recognition in a professional context is also possible.
When studying abroad, you should conclude a Learning Agreement before your stay at the host university. You can find more information on this on the website of the International Office.
