What is the Student Living Room (SLR)?
The SLR is an open meeting place for all students. Here you can relax, meet new people or take part in a variety of events such as games evenings, creative sessions, meditations and self-caresessions. During opening hours, student assistants are at the SLR as "hosts" who are there to listen, answer questions and, if necessary, refer you to suitable university services. The SLR is not intended to be a counseling center, but rather as an initial point of contact on equal footing. In an appreciative, confidential atmosphere, it helps you to arrive in Siegen and get your new study phase off to a good start.
How does it work?
You can drop by at any time during our opening hours and spontaneously decide what is good for you at the time. At the SLR you will find a large selection of games, craft materials and cozy retreats - everything you need to feel comfortable and take a break from everyday university life.
Regular events:
We also offer weekly special events outside of opening hours, such as
- Game nights
- Crochet
- chess
- UNO Olympics
- Quiz evenings and much more.
In addition, self-care sessions are offered every week. These are led by two SLR hosts and cover topics such as:
-
Study organization
-
Well-Being
-
Relaxation and leisure activities in Siegen
-
Speed-Friending
You can find a monthly overview of all events here: Student Living Room Registration is not required for most events. If registration is necessary, you can find all the information in the event overview and on Instagram.
