Siegener Forum Accounting, Auditing and Taxation
Address:
The Chair of Business Administration II in the Department of Economics at the University of Siegen has organized several guest lectures by external university lecturers and practitioners on topics relating to accounting, auditing and business taxation every semester since 1985. In the last three years, one-day colloquia have also been held on the same subjects. A workshop on a current problem area from the specialist areas was held for the first time in March 1996. As in the past, the planned future continuation of this series of events will serve the scientific exchange of ideas between theory and practice, involving above all students of business administration, former and current employees and doctoral students of the chair, the relevant specialist colleagues and interested representatives of regional and national consulting companies.
This cooperation between the university and business is to be intensified and organizationally secured. To this end, the "Siegen Forum for Accounting, Auditing and Taxation" was founded on September 1, 1995 as a registered non-profit association to support the relevant activities of the Chair of Business Administration II and the other relevant chairs in the Department of Economics at the University of Siegen.
The invitation to become a member of the Siegen Forum is aimed primarily at
- Auditors and tax consultants, especially from the regional catchment area of the University of Siegen - GH Siegen,
- Managers from accounting, finance and tax, controlling and internal auditing,
- management consultants,
- Scientists working in the aforementioned fields, as well as
- Graduates of economics programs, especially from the University of Siegen.
As far as I know, the Siegen Forum has no predecessor at the University of Siegen, but it has numerous successful role models at other universities, e.g. in Münster and Marburg. It can also help to strengthen contacts between science and practice at our university.
