Foreign Degrees (International Students)

International applicants to bachelor’s degree programs must have a qualification for university admission comparable to the German Abitur (e.g., a secondary school diploma, the university entrance examination in their home country, or the required period of study in their home country). International applicants for master’s degree programs must have a first-cycle degree comparable to a European bachelor’s degree.

You can find information on how your high school or university degree is recognized in Germany on the website“Information System for the Recognition of Foreign Educational Qualifications” or in the admissions database of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD),“Studying and Researching in Germany.”
