Students about the Quantum Science program

...I love living in Siegen...

I chose to study at the University of Siegen because of its research and innovation in Quantum Science. The faculty here is very knowledgeable and supportive, which has greatly improved my learning experience. At this university, we can choose our courses, making it easier to build our knowledge at our own pace. I really like how my colleagues help me with my studies, and the professors are always willing to clear my doubts during their free time. I would highly recommend the University of Siegen to anyone looking to advance their education in Quantum Computing, as the university has its own Quantum Computer. Besides that, I love living in Siegen for its beautiful nature, less crowded atmosphere, and good road connectivity.

You have a qualified Bachelor's degree in physics, mathematics, computer science, electrical engineering or a similar scientific subject (university or university of applied sciences).

You have a sufficient command of English.

If you have an equivalent qualified degree, the equivalence will be determined by our examination board, contact: https://www.physik.uni-siegen.de/pruefungsamt/

The current examination regulations always apply to you.

(Subject) examination regulations/study plans/module handbooks/internship regulations

(Subject) examination regulations (FPOs) define the basic structures of a degree program (e.g. admission requirements and content to be studied). Students are automatically subject to the current version of an FPO when they enrol for their first semester. This means that even if the FPO changes during the course of study, the original version according to which you enrolled is still valid (provided this FPO does not expire).
The respective study plan represents the recommended exemplary course of study in the individual subjects and is part of an FPO.
Supplementary regulations and detailed information for each module to be studied can be found in the module handbooks (e.g. requirements for taking a written examination).
The internship regulations define the conditions under which the compulsory or optional internships must be completed.

Before the start of the lecture period, we recommend that you at least take a look at the curriculum of your degree program so that you know which modules are planned for the start of your studies.
