CCT - Career Counselling for Teachers
The CCT portal is a Europe-wide online project. It provides a collection of information texts and self-assessment procedures on the teaching profession in various countries. This includes information on the school system, the teaching profession and personality and interest questionnaires for self-assessment. There are also test procedures for assessing aptitude and links to many other sources of information and advisory services. Prospective students, students, career starters and teachers who have already been working for some time can find guided tours that combine various information and tools in a targeted manner.
In North Rhine-Westphalia, CCT is involved in accompanying the aptitude internship. Participation in the "Guided Tour 1" must be proven at the final aptitude consultation at the school. Link to the German-language CCT portal
SeLF - Self-exploration of the teaching profession with film impulses
The SeLF online service from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München enables both prospective and current students to critically reflect on their attitudes towards the teaching profession and the school as a career field. 16 short films illustrate the demands of the teaching profession by providing realistic insights into the everyday life of a teacher. By answering the subsequent questions, the system can provide information on how studying to become a teacher can help with individual development. A wide range of topics are covered, from "Education at school", "Inclusion", "Conflicts with parents" to "Teaching disruptions" or "Convincing and inspiring". Link to the SeLF offer
FIT for the teaching profession (FIT-L)
Based on a large-scale study, the Potsdam Teacher Study, an instrument for reflecting on aptitude for the teaching profession was developed. This is the FIT-L instrument, which is now available in a revised version FIT-L (R). It conveys the basic requirements of the teaching profession and, against this background, allows self-assessments and external assessments of personal requirements. The instrument has proved its worth as an aid and stimulus for reflection. It can be used in connection with career choices and in the training of student teachers.
