Accompanying seminars at the Centers for Practical Teacher Training
The accompanying seminars of the ZfsL in the Hagen-Lüdenscheid-Siegen training region are based on the framework concept for the practical semester
on a joint programmatic model for the practical semester, which was developed by the ZfsL Hagen, Lüdenscheid and Siegen.

Specific concepts are derived from this mission statement depending on the ZfsL location:
The accompanying seminars are interdisciplinary and coordinated with the university's educational science preparatory and accompanying seminars. Their main purpose is to support and guide students in the "development of a research-based and reflective attitude". They offer space for an intensive exchange of experiences and deepen the "conceptual connection between theory and practice" in the practical semester. In accordance with the framework concept (cf. RK, section 3.2, p. 9), the accompanying seminars deal with topics from the following question areas:
- How do I apply theoretical knowledge about good teaching to specific teaching situations?
- How do I plan a lesson? (exemplary work on students' planning tasks)
- How do I apply basic didactic knowledge to selected subject-specific key situations? Introductions, use of media, tasks, performance assessment situations, etc.?
Further advisory and support services offered by the ZfsL
In addition to the accompanying seminars, the seminar and subject leaders of the ZfsL also conduct (ungraded) teaching consultations at the school, in which you will be supported in planning and implementing your teaching projects and receive advisory feedback on your own teaching. At the end of the practical school part of the practical semester, you will have an (ungraded) assessment and perspective discussion with a seminar trainer from the responsible ZfsL and a school teacher involved in the training. Its main purpose is to take stock of intra-individual development and to discuss individual development opportunities. The basis for the interview can be your reflections on your experiences as recorded in your portfolio or gained in the accompanying seminars.
