Prof. Dr. Eberhard Seidel

On 11.05.2025, Prof. em. Dr. Dr. h.c. Eberhard Seidel passed away at the age of 89. Eberhard Seidel was a member of our Faculty from 1975 until his retirement in July 2001 and remained closely associated with the University of Siegen for many years after returning to his beloved hometown of Plauen. With Prof. em. Dr. Dr. h.c. Eberhard Seidel, we have not only lost a colleague who was always conscientious, professionally and didactically outstanding, but also a friendly and always helpful personality to whom the Faculty and the entire university owe a great deal. Our sympathy and condolences go especially to his entire family. We will keep Eberhard Seidel in honorable memory.
