Documentary "A day without women"
One fall morning in 1975, 90% of Icelandic women walked off the job. They refused to work, cook or look after the children, bringing their country to a standstill and catapulting Iceland to the "best place in the world to be a woman". For the first time, the activists themselves have their say. With its message about the collective power of women to change society, A DAY WITHOUT WOMEN is subversive and unexpectedly funny!
"The film A Day Without Women is an impressive monument to the courageous and humorous women who set this development in motion through their actions. " - NDR Kultur - Das Journal
