Laboratory opening IAS Chair

Following extensive refurbishment and redesign of the laboratory facilities on Hölderlinstrasse, the IAS Chair is pleased to reopen its laboratory for power electronics and electrical drive technology. Within the framework of the NRW-ZSL infrastructure funds acquired, the chair, together with the central administration of the University of Siegen, was able to completely redesign the previous laboratory and bring it up to the state of the art. The opening event provides an opportunity to look ahead to future teaching and research in the department and also serves as a networking event to connect students, university staff and academic and industrial partners from near and far. Furthermore, the Department of Art will accompany the opening with a co-exhibition under the direction of Prof. Dr. Johanna Schwarz as part of a student seminar that deals with the subject area of electrical engineering from an artistic perspective.
