All In! Diversity is our profession
With the opening ceremony of the newly formed Equal Opportunities Department, we want to send a signal for diversity and fairness at the university of Siegen as well as offer ideas for a more open university culture. A special highlight will be the contribution by Maria Popov: "From Siegen to the media landscape: perspectives of a new generation". Along with sparkling wine and snacks, there will be room for exchange and networking.
In addition to the ceremonial opening, we provide a supporting program around the 19th of may with a variety of offers that exemplify the range of our topics. For more information, please see our program booklet.
Moreover, the event is the contribution of the University of Siegen to the German Diversity Day under the motto "When diversity wins, everyone wins". #DDT26
We celebrate equal opportunities!
Since 2026, equality, diversity and inclusion at the University of Siegen have been united under one roof - the new Equal Opportunities Department. This is where all topics that stand for an open, diverse and fair university come together: Equality, Diversity Policies, Inclusion, Family & Compatibility as well as Continuing Education and Awareness Raising.
Together we give these topics more visibility - and we want to celebrate that!
