Lecture with Prof. Dr. Bernd Sommer.
Discussants: Jessica Kuhlmann & Dr. Lena Masch (Social Science, University of Siegen)
Right-wing populist movement parties in Germany, Europe and the USA oppose the implementation of the energy transition and climate protection measures. How do right-wing populist movements and parties influence climate policy and what impact does their influence have on democratic engagement and society's approach to the climate crisis? Against this background, the lecture will discuss what the current political situation means for climate policy.
The lecture is part of the workshop "Human-Nature-Politics: Divided Worlds or Separate Horizons"
