The CHE University Ranking (Center for Higher Education Development) is the most comprehensive and detailed ranking of German universities and universities of applied sciences.
It comprises the opinions of over 120,000 students on the study conditions at participating universities and is divided into three main surveys that lead to the creation of indicators and the subsequent ranking. In detail, these are

Facts are available on studies, teaching, facilities and research in around 40 subjects selected by the CHE at more than 300 universities, as well as a wealth of descriptive features on studies and teaching. The following subjects are ranked every three years at the University of Siegen:

2025
German Studies, Romance Studies, Educational Sciences, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics and Psychology

Political science, mathematics, physics, chemistry and computer science
All results are published in the Zeit Study Guide and also free of charge online at https://ranking.zeit.de/che/de/
