The software Mathematica
from Additive GmbH is available as a campus rental license for employees of the University of Siegen.
The current three-year term of the campus rental contract ends on 29.07.2027.
Mathematica single-user licenses can be obtained from the ZIMT for rent until 29.07.2027. The annual costs are €321.66. Billing takes place on a monthly basis during the year.
Important license information
Single-user licenses are bound to one computer.
Each Mathematica Standard single user license includes:
- 2 x Mathematica Frontend
- 2 x control kernels
- 8 x compute kernels
With this license, up to two simultaneous frontends can be started on one computer (1 x control kernel and 2 x compute kernels (= Mathematica calculation kernels) per frontend), i.e. two frontend processes and two Mathematica control kernel processes and eight compute kernels can run on the same computer.
Note: The Mathematica single-user license is defined as a single-userlicense. Only the registered person may use the kernels. This single-user license can and may only be installed on one PC used by one person.
