February 4, 2026 | 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM | online, in English

Target audience: R1 & R2 female researchers

What should be included in an exposé? What criteria should I use to choose the right publisher? How do I approach my preferred publishing partner? At the latest, once your dissertation is complete, you’ll need to consider publishing your work. Organizing conferences and workshops or engaging with relevant topics can also inspire you to publish your findings.

This workshop consists of two parts: Following a concise presentation on the fundamentals of academic publishing, participants will have the opportunity to ask any pressing questions they may have—whether about their own publication or about publishing in general.

Menopause—Finding More Balance in Your Daily Work Life

This event provides information on everything that makes an application successful: strategies for an effective job search, how to easily prepare application materials, navigating digital application systems, and guidelines for direct contact with the company or institution to which you are applying. The practical portion of the event provides ample opportunity to develop your own writing and communication skills, as applying for a job is, at its core, a communication task.

Note: The sessions “Basics for a Successful Job Application” and “Training Seminar for Success in Job Interviews” build on one another. However, they can also be attended individually.

Training Seminar for Success in Job Interviews

In collaboration with the Career Service

The job interview determines who gets the position. This event is all about how to prepare effectively for this crucial interview. You’ll learn about the structure and purpose of the interview, common questions, and how to demonstrate during the interview that you’re a good fit for the position. The second part of the session will provide ample opportunity for hands-on practice.

Female students may participate in our workshops free of charge.

Female staff members and researchers pay a fee of 10 euros per workshop day; external participants pay 40 euros per workshop day.
