In a first step, we take a closer look at the central role that the individual research question/hypothesis plays in the writing process. Here you also have the opportunity to review the research question/hypothesis of your own work and thus lay a good foundation for further work on your writing project.
The second step deals with the concrete connection between the guiding question/hypothesis and the structure of a scientific text. In this block, you will also have the opportunity to apply exercises directly to your own writing project.
In the third part of our workshop, we will look at possible conventions for the structure of academic texts in different subject cultures (e.g. the IMRaD structure, problem analysis structures, argumentative text structures, etc.). In this context, you will be instructed to carry out specific research on the tendencies for structuring texts in your subject area, which you can then continue beyond the workshop.
Target group: The workshop is open to Bachelor's and Master's students of all subjects.
