Student self-administration at the University of Siegen

The decision-making body of the student body is the student parliament (StuPa), which is elected for one year at a time. As the highest student electoral body, it is mainly responsible for legislative tasks and elects the AStA.

Student Parliament

The student parliament (often also referred to as StuPa) is the elected representation of students at a college or university. It is "the supreme decision-making body of the student body"(§ 54 HG NRW).

The AStA represents the students politically both internally and externally. It is elected by the student parliament for one year.

Student councils at the University of Siegen

The Representation of Interests of the students of a department is carried out by the student councils. They are the first point of contact for problems relating to the subject. They also organize Welcome Week events or offer tutoring programs for younger students.
