The University of Siegen will become the center of international production research from 9 to 12 September 2025 The PROTECH - Institute of Production Engineering at the University of Siegen is organizing the two renowned conferences

-CARV - 10th Changeable, Agile, Reconfigurable and Virtual Production Conference

- MCPC - 12th World Mass Customization and Personalization Conference

Konferenzen CARV und MPCP am Campus Unteres Schloss

Under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Manns (University of Siegen), over 100 scientists will come together at the two conferences to discuss developments and challenges in production. The motto is "New Paradigms for Anticipated Uncertainty" and was not chosen at random. Companies worldwide and especially in the South Westphalia region are facing the massive challenges of global uncertainties. The pandemic, geopolitical tensions and political unrest have shown how sensitive supply chains and production processes are to unforeseen disruptions. Companies in the region are therefore increasingly interested in strengthening their resilience and flexibility to better cope with such disruptions.

The conferences bring together two - complementary - subject areas: CARV focuses on the development of agile and changeable production systems and sustainable manufacturing processes, while the MCPC focuses on the use of digital technologies and the personalization of products through individual mass production right into the supply chains. With the conferences, the PROTECH Institute offers an interdisciplinary exchange in which representatives from science and industry develop and discuss strategies in lectures, keynotes and workshops on how production technology can become more resilient and adaptable.
