Students often sit for hours on end in lectures - with consequences: Concentration and performance decline, well-being decreases and health risks increase.
How can you make learning more active, healthier and therefore more effective?
In this workshop, you will learn practical methods with which you can specifically integrate movement into various teaching formats - whether seminars, lectures or digital events.
The scientific concept of Movement-Based Learning offers two central approaches:
- Learning with movement: Methods such as movement breaks or a movement-friendly design of the learning environment can offset the negative effects of long periods of sitting. In this sense, movement accompanies the learning process and promotes not only concentration, but also general well-being and motivation to learn.
- Learning through movement: Movement can also be used specifically to convey content. In this case, it is not only used to compensate, but also actively contributes to learning growth - in other words, it has a learning-enabling function.
