Your compulsory internship during your studies

As module supervisor, Prof. Dr. Krebs is your contact person for the compulsory internship as part of the Bachelor's and Master's degree program in German and European Economic Law.

The instructions for preparing an internship report can be found here (as of 20.08.2024).

For the LL.B., the internship must last at least 13 weeks and for the LL.M. at least 9 weeks. According to the internship regulations, an internship week should correspond to the regular weekly working hours of the respective company, i.e. 35, 38.5 or 40 hours.

Yes, your previous professional activity can be counted as an internship. Please submit proof of how long you have worked for your employer.

  1. Proof of completion of your internship, signed by the company, stating the duration of employment and weekly working hours. A signed internship certificate is equivalent to this proof. (If you are completing your internship abroad, we ask for an internship certificate in German or English).
  2. The internship report (5 - 6 pages, instructions for preparation).
  3. The application for recognition of the internship(download)

Please send your documents to the chair's office. The electronic form is sufficient for submission.

It usually takes less than a week for the data to be entered.

If your employer requires an internship certificate, you can request this by e-mail
from our secretary's office. Please let us know your matriculation number and whether it is an internship in the Bachelor's or Master's degree program.
