DELIRIOUS SIEGEN - On Assembly, Disruption, Form

Delirious University of Siegen brings together design works that have emerged from a university in transition and a city of overlaps. Siegen does not appear here as a closed structure, but as a spatial condensation of displacement, rupture and simultaneity.

The design process followed a clear but open sequence of elementum, composition and ludus - understood as a repeated interplay of deconstruction and reassembly. Architectural orders were exposed, dismantled and reassembled as an open system.

Central to this was the transfer of the principle of the cadavre exquis: a collective process without a complete overview, in which sections are created independently and only come together as they progress. Designing thus became a practice of precise placement in uncertainty - analogous to the city itself, whose form emerges from superimposition rather than linearity.

At the center of the exhibition is the tower as a spatial medium: not as a typology, but as a condensed figure. The resulting autonomous spatial bodies bundle layers of space, structure and texture into independent compositional settings.In the former Feinbier department store, these works assert themselves as spatial arguments.
