Faculty Council elects new Dean's Office

The Faculty Council of the School of Education, Architecture and the Arts at the University of Siegen has elected the Dean's Board for the 2026 to 2030 term of office. With a strong personnel line-up, the Schools is realigning itself to meet the upcoming challenges of higher education policy and society.

The Faculty Council elects a new Dean's Office

At its meeting on January 14, 2026, the Faculty Council of the School of Education, Architecture and the Arts at the University of Siegen elected the Dean's Board for the term of office from 2026 to 2030. Prof. Dr. Magdalena Eckes was elected Dean. Prof. Dr. Kathrin Racherbäumer will assume the position of Vice Dean for Studies and Teaching. Prof. Dr. Kai Horstmann was elected to be responsible for Research, Qualification Phases and International Affairs. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thorsten Erl will continue as Vice Dean for Spaces and Artistic Subjects. Dr. Martin Reichstein was elected Vice Dean for Human Resources, Structure and Finance. The election is still subject to confirmation by the Rector.

With this election, the Schools Council has set the course for the future development of the Schools. The newly elected Dean's Board will represent Schools II in a changing higher education policy and social environment and play a key role in shaping its strategic development in the coming years.
