Network Day “Bodies in Public Space” in Innsbruck

On May 8, the event “Bodies in Public Space” took place in Innsbruck. Sarah Delling led the networking day, which she had planned together with Carolin Hohmann and Johannes Härting.

The event was aimed at mid-career faculty members across all theological disciplines, as well as interested scholars from related fields.
With workshops on the topics of “Trans*,” “TV Series and Sports,” and “Body-Related Memes” led by Stephanie Bayer, Carolin Hohmann, and Johannes Härting, the event opened up diverse perspectives on the significance and perception of bodies in the public sphere. Participants particularly appreciated the opportunities for collaborative research and discussion in an open and collegial atmosphere.
In the afternoon, there was also an opportunity to establish (inter)national contacts and create new connections within one’s own network. The intensive exchange and personal encounters made the events an enriching forum for all participants.
