Hannah Schiefer from the Department of Architecture/N_AS at the University of Siegen, together with Nina-Marie Schüchter (Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf), has edited the anthology *The Unpredictable: Collaboration, Complicity, and Co-Creativity as Artistic Principles *. The volume brings together contributions from architecture, art, and cultural studies, as well as related disciplines, and examines the unplannable as a constitutive element of creative processes.

The focus is on forms of collaboration in which openness, contingency, and unpredictability are understood not as disruptions but as productive prerequisites for artistic and architectural practice. The contributions analyze various forms of collaboration, complicity, and co-creativity and open up new perspectives on design, production, and transformation processes.

The anthology is published in the “Architekturen” series by transcript Verlag and is aimed at researchers and students in the fields of architecture, art, and cultural studies, as well as anyone interested in collaborative design processes and contemporary theoretical approaches.
