In January 2025, Anabel Büchner and Björn Siepe (University of Marburg) held a workshop on preregistration for the Berlin University Alliance (BUA). The workshop provided an overview of the historical background of preregistration, its theoretical foundations and its empirical effectiveness. In addition, deviations from preregistrations and their evaluation were discussed. More than 20 early career researchers took part in the workshop. Anabel organized the event as part of her work as an ambassador for Open Science at the BUA.
