Prof. Jan Kampshoff
Jan Kampshoff is an architect, co-founder of modulorbeat in Münster and has been Professor of Spatial Concept and Design in the Department of Architecture at the University of Siegen since March.
His work is at the interface between architecture, art and urban research. With modulorbeat, he realizes projects between spatial installations, urban interventions and experimental architecture - with an interest in understanding the city and architecture as media of communication.
Before his appointment to Siegen, he taught as a visiting professor at the TU Berlin and as a substitute professor at the Peter Behrens School of Arts in Düsseldorf.
Jan is co-initiator of the university network Gemeinsam für die Bauwende at Architects for Future (A4F) and is involved on a voluntary basis in initiatives that bring architecture, the city and the public into conversation - for example with Freihaus MS - Stadt ist, wenn man drüber spricht.
